Funding Sources for a Scientific Concept

These pages allow you to analyse which funding sources have funded the most research in your chosen subject.

Funders column (A): The table displays all the funding bodies which have funded research for your selected scientific term.

Article Count (B): For each funding body you will see the total number of articles that they have funded under your selected term. Funders appear listed in order of article output in Inspec with the highest total number of articles at the top. Click on a column heading to change or reverse the order.

Comparison Graph (C): To compare output for a number of funders, select your chosen funding bodies and click “update graph”. The line graph at the top will display the number of articles funded by each of your selected funding bodies over time. Hover over the points to display the number of articles funded for each year.

Change Chart Type (D): To display your results as a histogram chart, select the toggle at the top.

Date Filters (E): Filter the date range of your results using the “From” and “To” drop-down selections

Advanced Search (F): Search for a funder using the search box, or click “Advanced” for advanced search options:

Advanced Search (1): Search by funder name, location or article count.

Advanced Search (2): Add multiple search conditions.

Advanced Search (3): Each search condition can be treated as “And”, “Or” or “Not”.

Advanced Search (4): Search for whole words, partial words or start typing to see suggestions and select a funding body.

Advanced Search (5): Remove conditions by clicking on the corresponding minus or by clicking “remove all”.

Advanced Search (6): Click “Apply” to see your results.
